2.  The 21st Annual Festival of Lights - Beginning the day after Thanksgiving, the Festival of Lights officially kicks off Ashland's holiday festivities. The celebration begins with entertainment on the Plaza, followed by Santa's parade and culminating in the illumination of Ashland's downtown when over 1 million Christmas lights are turned on.

3.  13th Annual Lythia Artisans Christmas Fair - Starting Thanksgiving weekend from Friday through Sunday, 50 local artisans will delight Ashland with their one-of-a-kind creations.  This year the event will be held at the Historic Ashland Armory and will include everything from fine art and woodwork to food and even live music!

4.  Winchester's 31st Annual Dickens' Feast - Starting in early December the Winchester Inn offers an inspired take on a traditional six course Christmas Feast.  Complete with Carolers in Dickens Christmas costumes and a visit by Old Saint Nick himself, the evening is not to be missed.

5.  Mt. Ashland - Hit the slopes this winter on beautiful Mt. Ashland; featuring 23 trails on 200 acres.  At 7,500 feet, Mt Ashland offers fun for both beginner and seasoned skiers.  Or perhaps if your work keeps you indoors during the day, try the slopes around your schedule.  With the Mountain Cafe and T-Bar Lounge open until 9pm, make and evening of Twilight skiing and experience all the great outdoors have to offer!
