Ashland is a beautiful and eclectic city in Jackson County, in the Medford metro area. Ashland is in the Rogue River valley, near the Northern California border.
The latitude of Ashland is 42.194N. The longitude is -122.708W. It is in the Pacific Standard time zone. Elevation is 1,946 feet. The estimated population, in 2003, was 20,406.
At approximately 2,500 feet above sea level and surrounded by mountain ranges, Ashland, Oregon is favored with a mild climate. The annual average rainfall is 18-20 inches with 3-4 inches of snow on the valley floor. The seasons are clearly defined and temperatures are generally mild. The median winter temperature is 36 degrees. Summers are warm with a median temperature of 94 degrees and an average of 15 days over 100 degrees.
