Bike Travel The Ashland area is conducive and accommodating to bike travel as noted by the services below. Bikes are allowed on busses. From Ashland to White City, Medford to Jacksonville, you and your bicycle can go anywhere a bus goes, and your bike rides for free. With Bikes on Buses, you can use the bus to extend your comfortable bike commute distance. You load and secure your own bike on the exterior mounted rack, and pay your regular bus fare, then relax and enjoy the ride. When you arrive at your stop, simply remove your bike from the rack and you're on your way. The racks are easy to use and there is an instruction card on the front of each bus next to the rack. If you want, you can stop by Front Street Station in Medford for a 10-minute training session about how to load and unload a bicycle from the bike rack. Customer Service will provide information and training Monday - Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Each Bikes on Buses rack can carry two, single seat bicycles on a first come, first serve basis.
