Located just one block from The Stratford Inn, at the corner of Gresham Street and Siskiyou Boulevard is the Ashland Public Library. With large picture windows that look out onto the beautiful mountains that surround Ashland, this is a wonderful place to sit and relax,read and learn. "The Ashland Library expansion and restoration has been completed. The official grand opening was June 2, 2003. The 'old' Carnegie library has been restored to its original form and colors; it houses the children's section, with meeting and staff rooms on the lower level. The expanded section holds all the remaining collections, reference, technology, and study rooms. Meeting rooms are available both during the library's open house, and after hours. The large meeting room has a well-equipped kitchen. Non-profit organizations may use these facilities at no cost other than a damage deposit; there is a charge for other groups." - Jackson Country Library
